TWO MOTORCYCLISTS robbed a retired deputy SP, Ram Sumer Yadav of Bhilawan Colony, as he stepped out of the Chander Nagar branch of the State Bank of India on Wednesday afternoon. No policemen were deployed at the bank even though there are clear directives from the DGP Headquarters to ensure patrolling or deployment of at least two policemen at or around banks during office hours.

Around 12.30 pm, Yadav had barely walked 10 yards from the bank when the motorcyclists drew up, snatched his bag, containing Rs 25,000, and sped away. Local shopkeepers called up the control room and the cops swung into action but it was too late. .
