A woman and her husband were arrested for allegedly murdering her brother here, police said.
A woman and her husband were arrested for allegedly murdering her brother here, police said.
The victim, identified as Shyam Singh Chauhan, was a liquor addict and used to afflict the family of his sister Usha Devisingh Kachwah's family with whom he was living in Cantonment area here, they said.
On November 12, 2007 Usha and her husband Devisingh beat up Shyam severely in which he received multiple injuries.
Usha admitted her brother to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) stating he fell down in bathroom and was injured.
However, Shyam succumbed to injuries and post mortem report confirmed his death due to severe beating, they said.
The wife and husband duo were arrested and produced in a local court which sent them in two-day police custody, they added.
