“We’ve seen the wives, kids and girlfriends for a day and a half. It’s no distraction. Sven likes a relaxed atmosphere and when you’re away for five weeks it’s nice to have the option of seeing your family,” The Sun quoted Becks as saying.

He added that all the players were totally focused.

Former England striker Shearer said: “You are in the tournament to win it and nothing should get in the way.”
