CLASS IV employees of the Government Women?s Hospital boycotted their work and staged a dharna in front of the office of the Chief Medical Superintendent on Tuesday. Their major demands included immediate disbursement of 50 per cent Dearness Allowance (DA) in form of arrears, uniform for the staff, etc. The employees? leaders warned that if the hospital authority did not consider their demands, they would launch a massive movement and go on a complete strike in the month of April.

Their major demands included immediate disbursement of 50 per cent Dearness Allowance (DA) in form of arrears, uniform for the staff, etc.
The employees’ leaders warned that if the hospital authority did not consider their demands, they would launch a massive movement and go on a complete strike in the month of April. However, the Chief Medical Superintendent held talks with the employees’ leaders and assured them to consider their six-point charter of demands.
Prominent among others who participated in the demonstration included, Sushil Kumar, Ram Jee, Shyam Lal, Vidya Devi, Raja Ram Mishra, Saroj Giri etc.
Meanwhile, several pharmacists under the banner of Diploma Pharmacist Association staged a dharna at Shiv Prasad Gupta Divisional Hospital on Tuesday in favour of their demands.
The agitated pharmacists were demanding arrest of miscreants who had beaten-up their colleague, Satya Prakash a couple of days ago. The pharmacists were also demanding protection and proper supply of anti-rabies injection in the hospital.
The pharmacists’ leader, GD Dwivedi, strongly criticised the incident and demanded immediate arrest of the miscreants who were involved in beating up their colleague.
