World Bank team visits Rajasthan

A World Bank team visited the state this week to review Rajasthan water sector restructuring project being implemented with the Bank's assistance.

A World Bank team visited the state this week to review Rajasthan water sector restructuring project being implemented with the Bank's assistance.

The team, headed by R S Pathak, appreciated the state's efforts in implementing the project after touring different areas in Kota, Bhilwara, Jaipur, Sawai Madhopur, Bundi and Tonk districts, an official release said here on Sunday.

The state government has constituted a separate department of the water resources schemes for integrated and concerted development of water sector, it said.

Besides the construction works, the project envisages setting up of water consumer committees and training programmes for farmers for effective use of water.
