Yamuna CEO seeks 30 days to resolve crisis

Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority chief executive officer Pandhari Yadav has said he was confident that “better sense would prevail” and farmers would not stall projects along the toll highway.

Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority chief executive officer Pandhari Yadav has said he was confident that “better sense would prevail” and farmers would not stall projects along the toll highway.

“We cannot effect any hike in the cash compensation already paid to farmers. The payment was made on the basis of a mutually-accepted agreement,” he said.

“I have sought a month’s time from farmers, promising the authority will address all genuine demands,” the CEO said.
