The former External Affairs Minister was arrested along with over 150 BJP followers in Hazaribagh on Wednesday for locking up central government offices during office hours in an agitation launched on February 13.

Sinha was booked under Section 151 of the CrPC and was produced before the Chief Judicial Magistrate in Hazaribagh, where the decision was announced.

Alleging that the UPA government was deliberately ignoring his home town, Sinha said he would not attend the budget session in Parliament unless his demands were met.
