"You have made a serious remark that the Congress has betrayed people of Telangana on the statehood issue. But let me tell you, there is serious talk everywhere that you yourself betrayed your party colleague Lakshminarayana by forcing him to resign from his post while you quietly backtracked," Rosaiah told Kishan Reddy, while replying to the discussion on the motion of thanks to the governor's address.
Earlier, Kishan Reddy - the lone BJP MLA left in the House - said the Congress betrayed people of Telangana on the statehood issue.
Reacting to this, Rosaiah pointed out how Kishan Reddy made his colleague Lakshminarayana from Nizamabad put in his papers along with the 10 TRS MLAs in protest against the terms of reference set for Srikrishna Committee.
"People of are talking about your great betrayal and you come to criticise us," Rosaiah remarked, amid peels of laughter by all members even as Kishan remained dumbfounded.
As Kishan Reddy later sought to explain that he did not make any such allegation, Rosaiah said he would withdraw the reference (MLA's allegation against Congress) in such case.
