Youths kill gangster in Jammu and Kashmir

The gangster allegedly involved in a number of murder, attempt to murder and stabbing cases, is shot dead by youths.

Unidentified assailants on Saturday shot dead a gangster in Jammu city, police said.

Two scooter-borne youth fired at one Sanjay Kumar alias Bakra in the main market of Trikuta Nagar at around 9.40 am, they said adding that the gangster died on the spot after receiving two bullet wounds on his head.

Bakra was taking his ailing father to a doctor when he was attacked, they said.

The gangster was allegedly involved in a number of murder, attempt to murder and stabbing cases, they said.

Gang rivalry may be result of the attack, they added.
