Youths shoot gas agency man dead

The incident took place around 8 am when Ram Prakash Yadav, a resident of Juggaur village was coming to Gas & Gadget Agency at Mahanagar on his bicycle. Yadav had reached Sarai Sheikh village when two youths on a motorcycle intercepted him.
Before Yadav could gauge their intention the youth riding on pillion opened fire aiming the cyclist.
Yadav slumped on ground bleeding profusely while both the youths pumped four more bullets in his body ensuring victim’s death on the spot.
The assailants sped off from the scene unscathed.
The villagers rushed the scene later hearing gunshots and informed the police.
Yadav’s kin including his wife and 14-year-old daughter too rushed the place.
Talking to the HT Lucknow Live CO Gomti Nagar Man Singh Chauhan said that he inquired the kin and residents of Yadav’s village about the possible motive behind the killing. But, Chauhan said, none could divulge any detail. They all said that Yadav had no enmity which could led to such sensational incident.
Chauhan further said Yadav had a tiff with manager of the gas agency a few days back and the latter had even expelled Yadav from the job. The manager had then also ensured that Yadav could not get job anywhere else. However, Yadav was kept on the job at the same agency later.
Chauhan said that Yadav’s kin categorically denied if the manager had any connection with the murder incident.
The cops quizzed the owner, the manager and other staff of the agency too but it could not divulge any clue.
The police were yet to establish the motive behind the killing till late in the night.
