Raid in MP: Rs 2 cr assets seized from grade II clerk’s residences
A raid on two residences of a grade II clerk, posted at the Neemuch collectorate, on Tuesday left the Lokayukta police of Ujjain amazed. The sleuths seized Rs 7 lakh cash, jewellery worth Rs 20 lakh, land documents worth Rs 55 lakh, besides 20 foreign watches and five iPhones from him.

Two residences of Narendra Gangwal, at Neemuch and Mandsaur, were raided by the lokayukta police in a disproportionate assets case.
Inspector Basant Shrivastava (Lokayukta) said the total worth of the assets seized was close to Rs 2 crore. The Lokayukta has unearthed jewellery, papers of land, documents of bank lockers, bank accounts and expensive imported watches, he said.
“When the team reached Gangwal’s residence at 5.30 am (on Tuesday), we found he was getting ready for a holiday in Goa,” Shrivastava said.
