Business tycoon Anand Mahindra is an avid Twitter user. From motivational tweets to witty updates, he keeps on sharing tweets which hardly fail to amuse his vast fan base. Recently, he took to Twitter to share the picture of a newspaper article about a man who faked being deaf and dumb to avoid listening to his wife. What’s caught the attention of netizens, however, is Mahindra’s tweet text posted along with the image.
The Mahindra Group chairman wrote that after reading the article, he laughed non-stop for five minutes. Then he asked his wife if she too could be fooled in that manner. To that, his wife came up with a savage reply. Check it out.
Laughed non-stop for 5 mins on reading this. Asked my wife if I could have fooled her like this. She didn’t waste even a few seconds in replying: She said "Really? Would you have lasted 5 mins without speaking into your cellphone?" Aah, the perils of having a smart wife! pic.twitter.com/msWJLbB1ZD— anand mahindra (@anandmahindra) April 28, 2019
Shared on April 28, the post has garnered more than 18,900 ‘likes’. Netizens have been commenting on his caption as well as the picture of the newspaper article. Check out some of the reactions:

What’s interesting to note, however, is that the article Mahindra is referring to was first published on World News Daily Report. The story about the man faking being dumb and deaf is fictional. How do we know? Well, a disclaimer given at the end of the website proves the fictitious nature of the story. The disclaimer reads:
“World News Daily Report assumes all responsibility for the satirical nature of its articles and for the fictional nature of their content. All characters appearing in the articles in this website - even those based on real people - are entirely fictional and any resemblance between them and any person, living, dead or undead, is purely a miracle.”
