State cooperative minister Ajay Singh Kilak said the loan disbursement for Kharif season is being speedily carried out — till date, interest free crop loan of Rs 2,800 crores has been distributed. The government has allotted interest free crop loan target of Rs 10,000 crores for kharif season, which is Rs 1,000 crores more than last year, Kilak said. The minister said that across the state, loan waive off camps are being organised and certificates are being distributed. Till date, 502 camps have been organised and certificates of Rs 319.14 crore have been given to 1,08,315 farmers. Kilak said that in the camps, Rs 251.51 crore loans, comprising Rs 239.87 crore principal amount, Rs 9.3 crore interest, and Rs 2.3 crore penalty has been waived off of 84,357 small and marginal farmers. In other categories, Rs 67.64 crore loans has been waived off of 23,958 farmers. Kilak further said that as the validation work of farmers loan account is being done, the certificates are being distributed by the Gram Seva Sehkari Samiti (GSSS). In order to avoid any irregularity in the validation work, the process is monitored effectively by GSSS employees. Ensuring that none of the farmers are left behind to avail the benefit of the loan waiver scheme, a tri-level system has been formed. First, the farmer can raise the complaint at respective GSSS. If the problem persists, then a district level committee is constituted and finally the farmer can present the case before the grievance committee.
