The boy’s uncle, Omprakash Singh, registered a complaint in the incident at the Nadbai police station on Tuesday evening.

Omprakash Singh said that on Tuesday, he, along with his nephew Shiv, had gone to attend a pre-wedding ceremony at Luhasa village, where the family and relatives of a would-be bride had come from Bar Ka Nagla village in Mathura district of Uttar Pradesh.
“A member from the bride’s side opened fire from his single-barrel gun, killing my nephew,” he alleged.
The visitors from Mathura fled after the freak accident, the police said. The boy was rushed to hospital, but was declared dead on arrival, the police added. The body was handed over the family after post-mortem on Wednesday.
Shiv studied in Class 6 student at Sendoli village. His father Yogendra Singh works outside Bharatpur. His mother was not told about the casualty till late on Tuesday evening, the police said.
Shiv grandfather, Bhajan Singh said that he was the only child of his parents. “He bought new clothes on Monday for the ceremony,” he added.
