Budget will fulfil expectations of common man: Vasundhara Raje

Efforts have been made to ensure participation of all sections of the society in the budget process, she said.

Chief minister Vasundhara Raje on Wednesday said the state government is making all efforts in the budget to fulfil the development requirements for Rajasthan and expectations of the people.

Efforts have been made to ensure participation of all sections of the society in the budget process, she said addressing the addressing the first meeting of pre-budget talks with voluntary organizations, civil societies and consumer forum representatives at her office.

“The budget will be prepared based on the ground reality by taking suggestions from experts and representatives from different sectors.”

Raje said the state in last four years has touched new heights of development through proper utilization of budgetary allocations and strong participation of the people.

Through dialogue, the government comes to know about the needs of different sectors and with the suggestions the government is able to take the state on the path of progress.

There is alternative of giving online suggestions through which the government is receivingJaip a number of logical and relevant suggestions, she said.

“Efforts will be made to include the suggestions after the departments try them out.”

Representatives from different civil societies, voluntary organizations and consumer forums gave their suggestions and expressed their gratitude to chief minister for including many of their suggestions in the previous budget.

Additional chief secretary finance DB Gupta informing about the pre-budget talks, said more than 2,000 suggestions have been received online on the website of the finance department and the process is on to make the budget more inclusive.

Home minister Gulab Chand Kataria, agriculture minister Prabhu Lal Saini and senior officials of different departments were also present at the meeting.
