The incident happened just after New Zealand's first innings got over.

"The roof came down all of a sudden. around 4-5 people were injuried but there was nothing serious. It lead to a little scramble in the stands but there weren't reports of any untoward incident," a volunteer in the stadium said.

Batting first, New Zealand posted 258 for eight against India in the second ODI of the five-matchs series.
