Unemployed men hold ‘pakoda’ protest in Rajasthan
The youths, under the banner ‘Unemployed Youth United Front of Rajasthan’ staged the protest.
Taking a jibe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP president Amit Shah’s statement that selling pakoda is gainful employment, hundreds of unemployed men set up a pakoda stall to stage a protest against the Rajasthan Public Service Commission’s delay in announcing of results of various recruitment exams.

The youths, under the banner ‘Unemployed Youth United Front of Rajasthan’ staged protest and burnt the effigy of commission.
“BJP leaders have insulted educated unemployed youths like us,” said Upen Yadav of Alwar, who is waiting for result of teachers’ recruitment exam.
The result of second grade teachers’ recruitment exam has not been announced even after two years.
The dates for sub-inspector recruitment 2016 exams have not been finalised and RPSC is still to announce dates for RAS 2017 examination. Also the reshuffle and waiting lists of lecturers’ recruitment 2015 and junior accountant 2013 are still pending with RPSC.
“The BJP government has limited number of days left in the office. The youth in the state had supported BJP in the last elections hoping that the party will work for their betterment. Now, they find themselves cheated and the frustration level is rising ,” said Suresh Meel of Churu.
