"We were almost on the floor when Obama galvanised the imagination of the young people and the new president has already sent out a message of inclusiveness as the people in the US no longer wish to remain polarised," King said a media interaction at the American Center.

Asked whether he has found any noticeable change in the US foreign policy under Obama, King said the America's "tit-for-tat" attitude had definitely changed under the new administration.

"President Obama has successfully brought out the goodness that was already there in the US," he added.

King said that efforts have to be made at all levels to resolve all kinds of differences across the globe.

"It's not an easy task and it might take some time. But we must pursue it ardently," he maintained.
