West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee said on Tuesday that her Trinamool Congress will take a final decision on whether to vote or not to vote in the July 19 presidential elections on July 16.
Banerjee is believed to have conveyed this to her party MPs and MLAs during a recent meeting held in Kolkata. Banerjee is said to have asked all MPs and MLAs to be present on the day of the polls.
Meanwhile, the two presidential aspirants Pranab Mukherjee and PA Sangma have sought the Trinamool Congress support in the July 19 poll.
It maybe recalled that Banerjee was opposed to Mukherjee being named as the UPA's presidential nominee, as the former had rejected her demand of financial assistance from the Centre when he was the country's finance minister.
Simultaneously, the Trinamool Congress will find it difficult to support Sangma, who is the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) nominee for president.
