Lok Sabha elections 2019: AAP launches helpline to report poll irregularities
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Friday issued a helpline number 8588833555 to keep a check on illegal activities in the Lok Sabha elections. Delhi will go to polls on Sunday.
Addressing a press conference, AAP’s Delhi convener Gopal Rai said the party has covered almost 90% of the voters during its campaigns that was “way ahead of the rivals”.
“On this helpline number, people can report any wrongdoing such as distribution of liquor, money, and irregularity in EVMs on the voting day. We will take up the issue with the election commission. This helpline will also be used to control our booth management,” Rai said.
He said AAP volunteers equipped with spy cameras will be present in every ward of the city to report any wrongdoing ahead of the polling day.
The AAP leader said a team of 10 AAP volunteers will be deployed at each polling centre for assisting the voters.
