These tickets may come under review before March 29, the party leaders said.
Congress workers had questioned the role of a party functionary in distribution of tickets on some seats in the Lok Sabha elections. Party workers in Sant Kabir Nagar had burnt the effigy of Congress candidate while complaints were also lodged by party workers from Lalganj (SC), Bansgaon and Gorakhpur Lok Sabha seats.
Complainants of Sant Kabir Nagar had met Priyanka Gandhi Vadra too during her visit to Lucknow recently. She later called them to New Delhi to hear their point.
“Yes, I along with some party leaders from Sant Kabir Nagar, met Priyanka Gandhi Vadra in New Delhi on Monday. She heard all of us and assured to look into all the complainants about irregularities in distribution of party tickets. She has assured us to review tickets by March 29,” said Rohit Pandey, adding, “I gave the feedback about Sant Kabir Nagar, Gorakhpur, Lalganj, Bansgaon and other seats.”
