Gaya, the seat reserved for Scheduled Caste candidates, is held by the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP’s) Hari Manjhi.
Hari Manjhi had defeated the Rashtriya Janata Dal’s Ramjhi Manjhi in the last Lok Sabha election held in 2014. Hari Manjhi had won the seat in 2009 as well against Ramji Manjhi.
