In the run-up to the seventh and final phase of polling of Lok Sabha elections 2019, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Congress chief Rahul Gandhi will address multiple rallies on Tuesday.

PM Modi will hold public meetings at Ballia in Uttar Pradesh, Buxar and Sasaram in Bihar, and Chandigarh in Punjab, all of which will witness polling in the last phase of elections on May 19.

Meanwhile, Gandhi will be speaking at election meetings in Neemuch, Khandwa and Tarana districts of Madhya Pradesh. Polling in these regions will also be held in the final phase.

BJP national chief Amit Shah is also scheduled to hold roadshow in West Bengal.

As campaigning for Lok Sabha polls has entered its last leg, political parties have stepped up their attack against each other in a bid to outdo one another.

‘PM’s boat is sinking’: Mayawati

Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati, keeping up her attack on Prime Minister Modi on Tuesday said, “Modi government’s boat is sinking,” as the Lok Sabha elections 2019 entered the last lap with phase 7 voting scheduled on May 19.

“PM Modi government’s boat is sinking, it appears that even RSS has stopped supporting them. In view of unfulfilled election promises and the public agitation, their swayamsevaks are not being seen putting in the work, it has made Shri Modi nervous,” the BSP chief tweeted.

This comes a day after the two leaders sparred over alleged atrocities on Dalits.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday hit out at Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati, accusing her of “shedding crocodile tears” over an alleged gang rape in Rajasthan’s Alwar and dared her party to withdraw support from the Congress government in that state.
