Akhilesh names Naim-ul-Hasan as SP candidate for Noorpur bypoll

The Samajwadi Party will also support RLD candidate Tabassum Hasan in the Kairana LS bypoll

Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav on Monday named Naim-ul-Hasan as the party’s candidate for the Noorpur (Bijnore) assembly bypoll. He also said that the party has decided to support Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) candidate Tabassum Hasan for the Kairana Lok Sabha bypoll.

Both the bypolls will take place on May 28.

Tabassum Hasan was the Bahujan Samaj Party MP from Kairana from 2009 to 2014 before migrating to the Samajwadi Party. Under the pact with the RLD, Tabassum took primary membership of that party on Sunday.

Both Tabassum and Naim will file their nominations soon.
