In a statement, BSP's state unit president Swami Prasad Maurya termed yesterday's rally as a "big drama" and said reports that Singh suffered injuries in the alleged lathi-charge were "white lies".

"Such drama is not expected from a national level leader who has also been chief minister of the state and a central minister and it is unbecoming of a person of his stature," Maurya said adding people are aware of the reality.
