In the wake of Ramdhan month, the Samajwadi Party has rescheduled its three-day national convention which will now be held on August 19.

"The national convention which was earlier slated to be held between August 25 to August 27 has been pre-poned and will now start from August 19 till August 21," party spokesman Rajendra Chaudhary said here today.

He said that the decision to reschedule the national meet was taken by the party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav in the wake of Ramadhan month.

"Some important decisions will be taken during the national meet. The party will chalk out its strategy keeping in view the current political scenario of the state especially after the Lok Sabha elections," he said.

All the party leaders and office bearers from various states and party's central unit are expected to take part in the convention.
