Barbie is all grown up now, and is the perfect millennial mom, at least according to this Instagram series. Check out the pictures.

Barbie dolls have been a childhood favourite for generations of girls who staged elaborate events around her. Now, an Instagram user (@tiff_thebarbie) is re-imagining the life of Tiff, a Barbie doll. But this time around, she is a hipster, millennial mother who battles sleep deprivation, has mother-daughter days, goes camping with family, and potty trains her child.

Sounds unglamorous? It only reflects the real-life trials of modern-day mothers. The Instagram page is hugely popular and boasts of 86.2k followers. Like other millennial mothers on the social media platform, Tiff also made a surprise announcement on May 19 revealing that she is pregnant with her second child, complete with a sonogram-on-her-belly moment and baby bump updates. It was followed by a video revealing the gender of the child.

The creator prefers to remain anonymous, but explained the reason behind the series: “I wanted to create a picture-perfect life with Barbie. When I started the account I wasn’t planning to give her such a fun life or family, I just kept getting ideas along the way!”

A typical shot takes around half an hour to stage, with another hour devoted to shooting and editing. Her favourite shots are of a visibly pregnant Tiff binge-eating Doritos.
