With Diwali round the corner, there’s no better time to light up your home with beautiful lamps. But you don’t need to rob a bank to buy those fancy lamps lined up in shopping malls. Give a new lease of life to the lamps you already own by revamping them with our cool do-it-yourself ideas.
Add some dazzle to your place by prettying up your lampshade with glitters. You can also use paint or fabric to revamp an old lampshade. You can also get creative and cover the shade with your favourite pictures or magazine cut-outs.

Have friendship bands, rakhis and bracelets lying around? Quirk up your lampshade using them. You can also get embroidery threads in bright colours and make multi-coloured braids to use in this lamp project.
Have fabric pieces or scarves lying at the back of your cupboard? Put them to some creative use. Cut them in the dimension of your lampshade and stick it on the shade to pretty it up instantly.
