Seldom has there been a topic of discussion more divisive among the masses than that of pineapple on pizza, whether it is delicious or disgusting. The gap between the two sides is so wide and seemingly ceaseless that only a truly appalling creation could conceivably unite the two. Like, say... strawberries on pizza. (Suddenly, the whole war over pineapple on pizza doesn’t seem quite as dire, right?)
On Monday, a Twitter user named @MoonEmojii posted a photo for his 34,000 followers of a round pizza that was covered in strawberry slices. Accompanying the photo, the user simply wrote, “strawberries>>pineapples.”

Yes, for reason that we can’t possibly comprehend, that is a photo of someone’s actual pizza that has sliced strawberries baked into it.
Yes, strawberries, the fruit. Not any sort of light syrup stirred into the sauce. The actual fruit. Placed onto a non-dessert pizza.
Yes, underneath the cheese.
In a series of tweets, @MoonEmojii insists that strawberries on pizza are better than pineapple on pizza, but we’re having a hard time imagining that they’re all that different.
Although it might seem that eating strawberries on pizza isn’t all that different from eating pineapple on pizza, even pineapple pizza lovers are speaking out against the atrocity. Since the photo was tweeted, it has been retweeted over 2,000 times, and so many pizza purists are commenting their outrage and disgust.
One Twitter user wrote, “Ewww I want to cry, what did they do to the pizza!”, while another user commented, “I want to die.”
Pineapple and non-pineapple pizza eaters must put our differences aside and join forces to defeat this evil https://t.co/WE59N20UJ5— ali (@lebaenesepapi) October 29, 2017

While the majority of reactions on Twitter are extremely negative, there are a few people who don’t mind the strange topping, while some cited other reasons they’re not ruling out the possibility of someday trying out this debatable pizza topping.
Why stop there tho?? Put apples and grapes on there. Hell even try grapefruit. They pair those fruits with cheese all the time!— Whorligram (@whorligram) October 29, 2017
