As farewell gift, collector drives chauffeur to office on retirement day

On Thak’s last working day, Sreekanth, the collector of Akola, took to the driver’s seat of his official car and made his chauffeur – in white uniform – sit in the back seat, while they drove to the office

What began as a regular work day for 58-year-old Digambar Thak, soon turned into a memorable one. Thak, who has driven 18 collectors of Akola district for more than 30 years, was given a fitting farewell by his current boss, G Sreekanth.
