Juhu bizman murder: Friends overheard him abuse accused girlfriend

The deceased’s friends said they heard 43-year-old Tilakraj Rajput verbally abuse his girlfriend Purity Pascal alias Ronita over the phone

After recording statements of at least six people in connection with the murder of 43-year-old businessman, the Santacruz police said three of the deceased’s friends said they heard him verbally abuse his girlfriend Purity Pascal alias Ronita over the phone. Ronita has confessed to murdering the businessman, with whom she had an extra-marital affair for six years.

The police have arrested Ronita for allegedly murdering Tilakraj Rajput in his Mahindra XUV car. Rajput was drinking with his three friends at Bandra on Sunday evening around 4 pm when he called Ronita and allegedly abused her over the phone. His friends overheard the fight.

Ronita has confessed to strangulating him using her stole in the car and then fled with his phone. She told police that she dumped the phone somewhere after escaping. The police will search Ronita’s Vile Parle house for further leads. A forensic team visited Santacruz police station where Rajput’s Mahindra XUV is parked. The police have collected samples of evidence from the vehicle.
