Mumbai law students miffed over re-evaluations results get delayed
While the examinations for repeaters are scheduled to begin in three days, hundreds of students are still waiting for their re-evaluation results
Delay in announcement of re-evaluation results has affected students from the law department of the University of Mumbai. While the examinations for repeaters are scheduled to begin in three days, hundreds of students are still waiting for their re-evaluation results. Many have now written to the university, hoping for the ATKT exams to be rescheduled.
“Many of us applied for re-evaluation more than six weeks ago and till date, there’s no news about the results. Why should we put ourselves through another round of examination if we’ve already passed the exam?,” asked one of the students. Those affected are mainly from semester 1, 3 and 5 (three year courses) and semesters 5, 7 and 9 (five year course). “Despite repeated queries, no one knows when to expect the results,” said the student.
According to the examination schedule released by MU, the ATKT exams for law students start from June 25 and 26 and as of now, the university plans to stick to the schedule. “We are trying our best to release all re-evaluation results at the earliest,” said an official from the examination and evaluation department, MU.
