In 2015, the BMC demolished an illegal ramp outside the actor’s house ‘Mannat’ in Bandra. Residents had accused Khan of encroaching on public property as the ramp obstructed movement to the Mount Mary Basilica during the annual Bandra fair. The actor allegedly used the ramp to park his vanity van.
The popular comedian found himself in the soup in 2016. Sharma had tweeted that a BMC official asked him to pay a bribe of Rs5 lakh. The same day, the BMC dug out two notices that were slapped on the actor for alleged altercations to his office and house in Andheri and Goregaon.
In April, the BMC issued a show-cause notice to Bollywood actor Rishi Kapoor for allegedly violating permission to trim the branches of a banyan tree inside his Krishna Raj bungalow at Bandra’s Pali Hill.
The actor received the approval from the BMC to trim six branches of the tree on April 13 as it obstructed planned construction at the plot, said a ward official. But, pictures shared by BMC officials revealed that the tree had been reduced to its trunk.
In April, the BMC issued a notice to actress Anushka Sharma, asking her to remove an electric junction box outside her flat in Badrinath Tower, Versova.
