MUMBAI:An eleven-year-old girl from a high-profile south Mumbai school was allegedly molested in a taxi on Tuesday. The girl, who was on her way back home from school, had to jump from a speeding taxi to escape the 60-year-old driver, who refused to stop the vehicle, the police said.

The accused, Mohommad Mirzee, a resident of JJ Marg, was arrested on Tuesday.

He was produced in the sessions court and has been remanded in police custody until September 11. “We obtained CCTV grabs from cameras in south Mumbai and identified the taxi’s registration number, which led us to his residence,” said a police officer.
