The currency collectively amounts to Rs 24.38 lakh.

He was on his way to Dubai and had concealed the currencies in a food packet.

The AIU, as part of a routine check of his luggage, found foreign currency in the form of US Dollars 27,160, Australian Dollars 2,200, Kuwaiti Dinar 320, Saudi Riyal 20,350 and UAE Dirhams 6,650, amounting to Rs24,38,957.

“The accused had cleverly concealed the currencies inside a food packet that he was carrying in a bag,” said official from AIU on the condition of anonymity.
