3 days after Andheri tower fire, Woman dies of burns
Divyani Sawant, 45, a resident of Kanchan Ganga, the 17-storeyed tower in Andheri (West) that caught fire on Thursday, died on Sunday evening after suffering 85% burns in the incident.

Sawant was first admitted to the Kokilaben Ambani hospital in Andheri (West) and was transferred to Masina hospital, Byculla on Thursday evening.
Dr Arvind Vartak, head of the burns unit at Masina hospital said, “The body has been sent for a post-mortem. Sawant was in the ICU and was critical when she was admitted to the hospital.”
On Thursday, a major fire broke out in a flat on the 12th floor of the building.
When Sawant, who lived on the 13th floor, stepped out of her flat to assess the situation, a gas cylinder exploded and critically injured her.
Two other women, Shantabai Naik, 65, a house help and Anita Agarwal, 40, who lives on the 16th floor, had also been admitted to Kokilaben Ambani hospital after they lost consciousness.
The two women were discharged on Friday.
The fire department is investigating the incident.
The officials said that the report would be submitted in the next three days.
