Chief Justice of the Andhra Pradesh High Court Justice Anil Ramesh Dave took oath as the new Chief Justice of the Bombay High Court on Thursday.

Justice Dave will be the 38th Chief Justice of Bombay High Court.
Governor K Sankaranarayanan administered the oath of office to 58-year-old Justice Dave at Raj Bhavan here this morning.
He succeeds Justice Swatanter Kumar who has been elevated to the Supreme Court.
Chief Minister Ashok Chavan, Minister for Protocol Suresh Shetty, Acting Chief Justice of the Bombay High Court Jay Narayan Patel and other Judges of the Bombay High Court were present on the occasion.
Born on 19 November 1951, Justice Dave enrolled as an advocate on July 25, 1976 after obtaining his LLM and ACA (Chartered Accountant) degrees.
He served as a Solicitor to the Government of Gujarat and Additional Government Pleader, Gujarat High Court.
Dave was elevated to the Bench of the Gujarat High Court as Additional Judge on September 18, 1995. He was appointed as Chief Justice of the Andhra Pradesh High Court on January 7, 2008.
