On Tuesday, the agency had conducted simultaneous raids after it received a tip-off that a systematic racket was in operation and toll nakas were evading payment of duties. A senior official from the ACB said as per information received, BMC's octroi officer and staff, along with octroi agents, goods owners, transporters and others were causing loss to the civic body.

"Subsequently, searches were conducted at Dahisar, Sewri, Mulund and Vashi and at certain godowns and an offence was registered by the ACB," the official said.

He said that prima facie, there seemed to be irregularities in the documents of the transport agents and those at the toll nakas. "The work of revaluation is voluminous and hence it will take more time," he said.
