Body of unidentified woman found at Film City

The unidentified body of a woman, believed to be between 25 and 30 years, was found near Film City Complex in Goregaon (East) on Sunday morning.

Police said the body was partly decomposed and has been sent for post-mortem to ascertain the cause of death.

The Aarey police said the woman’ s stomach was covered with a gunny bag.

The victim was wearing three gold rings on her fingers, indicating that robbery was not the motive behind the murder, police said.

“It is suspected that she had been murdered. However, no external injuries were seen. The body seems to be 10 to 15 days old,” said Uttam More, senior inspector, Aarey police station.

Meanwhile, the body of a 22-year-old boy was found in a pond in Ketakipada area of Dahisar (West). The deceased, Raifuddin Shaikh, went missing on Saturday evening when he had gone for a picnic in the area. A case of accidental death has been recorded.
