The CR services towards Kasara were affected owing to a glitch in the goods train between Shahad and Ambivli. While, the Rajdhani Express on the western line got delayed by 40 minutes owing to a tree collapse at the Mahalaxmi station.

“The goods train was stuck between Shahad and Ambivli from 6.45 to 7.20pm. However, the traffic was cleared within 35 minutes. But, the subsequent trains got delayed by 20-25 minutes. No service was cancelled,” said a senior railway official on condition of anonymity as he is not authorised to speak to the media.

Nitin David, public relations officer, WR, said, “The Rajdhani Express was delayed by 40 minutes because a part of a tree collapsed on a track, obstructing its path. The express was scheduled to leave for Delhi at 4.40pm. But, it eventually left at 5.20pm.”
