Guardian ministers appointed for Mumbai
Rural Development minister Jayant Patil and Textiles minister Naseem Khan were appointed as guardian ministers of Mumbai on Thursday.

Rural Development minister Jayant Patil and Textiles minister Naseem Khan were appointed as guardian ministers of Mumbai on Thursday.
While Patil will be guardian minister for the island city, Khan will look after the suburbs. Guardian ministers are appointed to look after the development plans of each district.
Other guardian ministers appointed included Excise minister Ganesh Naik for Thane, Deputy Chief Minister Chhagan Bhujbal for Nashik, Energy minister Ajit Pawar for Pune, Finance minister Sunil Tatkare for Raigad and Revenue minister Narayan Rane for Sindhudurg.
