Four days after a three year old girl was allegedly kidnapped by her father's friend, the Malwani police found her at the accused’s house at Azamgarh in Uttar Pradesh.

“The accused, Deepak Prasad (28), is still absconding. The police team is waiting for him to return at his mother's residence in UP,” said Ramrao Pawar, additional commissioner of police (north region).

The girl is yet to be brought back to the city. On Sunday, Madh island resident Sangeeta Tiwari filed a complaint claiming that Prasad had kidnapped her daughter, Payal, after she refused to elope with him.

Prasad, who sold fish with Sangeeta’s husband Ashrafilal Tiwari, was living with them for the last three months.
