Mulund gangrape: 2 men still at large

After seven men were arrested for the alleged gang rape of a ragpicker in Mulund, the police recorded the survivor’s statement in front of a magistrate on Monday.

After seven men were arrested for the alleged gang rape of a ragpicker in Mulund, the police recorded the survivor’s statement in front of a magistrate on Monday. The cops are looking out for two more people, who have been suspected of taking part in the crime.

According to the police, the two men have been identified as Vishal and Suraj. The 40-year-old woman told the police that the assailants inserted a wooden stick in her after being dragged to a forest in Mulund (West). “The survivor gave her statement in front of the magistrate. Her condition is stable and she not in the hospital,” said Ravidutt Sawant, inspector (crime), Mulund police. Investigations continue, with the police using technical surveillance to trace the wanted men.
