As many as eight key trains connecting Mumbai to the rest of the country have been cancelled and many others have been diverted, causing huge inconvenience to commuters.
As many as eight key trains connecting Mumbai to the rest of the country have been cancelled and many others have been diverted, causing huge inconvenience to commuters. Since May 21, Western Railway (WR) has cancelled a number of trains and will continue to do so between May 24 and May 26.
The cancellations and diversions come in the backdrop of an agitation by Gujjars currently on in the Kota division of Rajasthan on the Western Central Railway (WCR). They have badly affected lakhs of commuters who had planned their summer holidays months in advance.
The prestigious Mumbai Central-New Delhi Rajdhani Express, the August Kranti Express, Mumbai Central-New Delhi Premium AC Express, Bandra Terminus-Nizamuddin Sampark Kranti Express are among the trains which will not run on May 24.
