The change comes after conducting a survey, in which 75% suburban commuters claimed that they prefer ‘Will halt at these stations’ signage over the existing one.

At present, the WR -- on its fast corridor -- displays information about stations where the train will not halt, whereas CR provides the information on stations where the train halts. The attempt is to also bring uniformity in information system of both CR and WR suburban trains, which serve more than 70 lakh city suburban commuters.

More than 69,000 suburban commuters participated in the survey held through social networking site, email and M-indicators, of which 51,000 favoured the change.
