John D’mello, principal, said that the college had five BCom divisions in the first year but only two in the final year. “Usually a lot of students drop out, many don’t clear the first year or the second year. This time, it’s been different,” D’mello said.

“We have admitted 230 students so far and can accommodate only 10 more. We have written to the university and asked officials to allow us to admit the 30 students. They will grant us permission in a few days,” said D’mello.
