Santacruz skywalk to be extended
The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has proposed to extend the Rs 30 crore Santacruz (East) skywalk, from Western Express Highway up to Vakola.

The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has proposed to extend the Rs 30 crore Santacruz (East) skywalk, from Western Express Highway up to Vakola.
Presently, they are constructing pillars in the middle of the road at Santacruz (East) near the station.
This is causing problems to vehicles especially BEST buses and autorickshaws crowding the area due to barricades.
According to the plan, the skywalk ending before the Western Express Highway will now go beneath the Santacruz flyover and continue till Vakola.
