The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) swung into action and detained the men on suspicion of not having proper passports. The men were released later after their antecedents were verified.

The incident occurred around 11.15 am when a yacht MB Godiva arrived at the JNPT jetty.

Assistant inspector PP Shete of the CISF, said, "Local police told us that the foreign nationals did not have proper passports, so we detained them."

Shete said, "On interrogation we learnt that they had come for some official work at a Container Freight Station of the Central Warehousing Corporation in Sonari village nearby. Their passports were found to be in order."

Shete said, "The men did not have the requisite permission for landing at the JNPT jetty though. On confirming that they were on an official visit, permission was given to them."

"This is a sensitive area and we need to be on our toes at all times to ensure there is no trouble," Shete said.
