A senior crime branch official said the watchman feared that he may get in trouble if he informed the police. Singh, the sister of music composers Jatin-Lalit, had reportedly gone missing in December 2012.

The police are now trying to trace the remaining bones of the deceased from the same spot, the official said

The official said the number of suspects was increasing. “We began our probe with just three suspects. But it has gone up to 28,” he said.
