Moghul, dressed in a blue jeans and dark blue shirt, was presented before the court around 12.30pm. Moghul’s face was covered by a veil that was lifted once before the magistrate.

In their remand application, the crime branch said that certain aspects of the crime were not clear and hence they needed to interrogate Moghul. The police said that there was no clarity on from where Moghul purchased the knife, that he allegedly used to kill Pallavi.

The remand application further stated that police also want to find out where Moghul had dumped his clothes, that had blood stains. The police added that they wanted to interrogate Moghul for more clarity on the motive of the crime.

After getting his custody, the officers took Moghul to the crime branch office located at Crawford market where he would be interrogated.

Pallavi’s body was found lying in a pool of blood at her 16th-floor residence at Himalayan Heights building at Wadala East. The victim, the daughter of a Delhi-based IAS officer, was allegedly murdered when she resisted a rape attempt by Moghul.
